1: File - Save as - [Last Name][First Initial]_ARC4058_Assignment_3_[setting type, ie. Natural Setting]


2: New File - 11" x 17" - Resolution at 200 pixels/inch - Color Mode at RGB Color


3: Assignment: Insert Front Elevation from Assignment No. 2 and scale each to work within 3 different Settings
  • Setting 1: Natural Setting (no buildings around)
  • Setting 2: Urban Setting (between 2 buildings)
  • Setting 3: Nighttime Setting (urban setting at night)
  • *BONUS*   Insert Assignment No. 2 Axonometric (just the building) in an aerial view (at 45 degrees) setting.
    4: Label Each Drawing - ie. Front Elevation in a Natural Setting - Front Elevation in an Urban Setting -Front Elevation Nighttime Setting




    5: Things added to each Photoshopped Elevation:

    • 3 Photoshopped people (minimum) in and around the Elevation (the same 3 may be used for each elevation)
    • Shadows of building with respect to where the setting light is coming from
    • Glass Layer @ windows / doors (@ 15% opacity)
    • Reflection on glass of surrounding environment (@ 10% opacity)
    • Concrete layer on building
    • Organized Layers in Photoshop file



    6: Save file as PSD (Photoshop Document) - Save file as PDF


    7: Post JPEG on Blog (top-right corner : New Post - Insert JPEG - Publish Post!) ONLY if you have any questions pertaining to the assignment.  You do NOT need to post on the blog for this assignment.


    8: Email the PDF to ecalil@fiu.edu  as attachment.
      Email the PSD (Photoshop file) as a link from your Dropbox file in the same email.


    9: Title email + Blogpost : [Last Name][First Initial]_ARC4058_Assignment_3


    Due Date:  6-13-12 (Wednesday) by 11:59 PM

    1. Several minutes ago I already added everything to my dropbox account, but since I have a mac, every time I went to link the files in an e-mail it would automatically open in the apple e-mail...

      Just wondering if we had a hmwk for today. What about the hmwk using rhino that you show us last class.
